NFL MVP Award: (Mahomes +350)
Patrick Mahomes (+350) is the rightful favorite and with a huge upgrade to the offensive line there’s every reason to think he’ll win his second MVP award. What I also love about his candidacy is that he didn’t win last year, so there should not be voter fatigue.

A quarterback has won this award every year since 2013. The rules of play are tilted to make this an almost certainty, so don’t get too cute when making this pick.

Among the rest of the crop worth laying some coin on, Dak Prescott (+1300) was looking like a legit MVP candidate before blowing out his ankle. If his offensive line can stay healthy, he should be able to compete again.

Lamar Jackson (+1400) is getting some major new weapons at wide receiver including rookie Rashod Bateman and veteran Sammy Watkins. The ground game is already incredibly dangerous. There should be no stopping him and is my second favorite to win the award.

Among the long shots at +2000 or more, it is slim pickings, but one under the radar choice is Jimmy Garoppolo (+8000). He’s playing for his job and has one of the most imaginative play callers in the league in Kyle Shanahan. And between TE George Kittle, and WRs Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel they have a lot of firepower if they can all stay healthy.

Long Shot: (Garoppolo +8000)
