Astros vs Rays and Giants vs Padres MLB Betting Odds, Picks & Parlay Predictions

The Houston Astros (13-12) and Tampa Bay Rays (13-13) have nearly identical records as they get set to meet for the first time since Tampa Bay beat Houston to advance to the World Series last year. They are also both looking to gain ground on the first-place leaders in their division.

The Astros are averaging a solid 5.08 RPG while the Rays are at 4.36 RPG

Tampa Bay’s ERA is at 4.06 and Houston’s is 3.99

The Astros thin pitching staff has been hit with a number of injuries in the past eight days including to one of their top starters, Jake Odorizzi. DH Yordan Alvarez is also on the DL, for the second time this month.

The same is true for the Rays, including Chris Archer and Collin McHugh on the DL.

Tampa just split a four-game series with Oakland that were all low scoring affairs.

Houston is 6-2 in their eight, taking three out of four in back-to-back series, first with the Angels and then the Mariners.

The San Francisco Giants have sneaked past the Dodgers and into first in the NL West on the strength of a 7-3 record in their last ten games. They have series wins over the Phillies, Marlins and most recently the Rockies over that span.

The San Diego Padres schedule has been much tougher of late with seven games against the Dodgers among their last 12 and three more against the Brewers. Most recently they split a two-game series with Arizona and are 5-7 through that stretch.

Key injuries to the Giants include starting pitcher Kevin Gausman and outfielder Mike Yastrzemski.

Key reliever Ryan Weathers (1-0, 0.55 ERA) is out for the Padres.

The Padres are averaging 4.08 RPG and the Giants are at 4.16 RPG.

The Padres ERA is a league best 2.90 and the Giants are right behind them at 2.93.

Houston at Tampa Bay (Bally Sports Sun, ESPN+, 7:10 pm ET) - Houston -130 O/U 7½o (-120)
Ryan Yarborough has allowed just one run in 10.2 innings over his last two starts for the Rays. Tampa picked up wins over Toronto and the Yankees in those games. McCullers has allowed two runs or less in three of his four starts. The under is a strong pick here.
The Pick: Astros 3-1 - Houston -130 & Under 7½ (+100)

San Francisco at San Diego (Bally Sports San Diego, 10:10 pm ET) - San Diego -200 - O/U 7½u (-115)
Yu Darvish is off to another terrific start after his bounce back season last year. He’s allowed one run in each of his last four starts after giving up four runs in the season opener. Logan Webb bounced back from his roughest start of the year by throwing seven scoreless innings against the Marlins last time out. The Giants run has come against some pretty mediocre teams, now they face one of the best starters in the game and a stacked lineup looking to get its offense in gear.
The Pick: Padres 6-2 - San Diego -200 & Over 7½ (-105)
A $50 Parlay Bet will return $96 in Profit
