Creighton (5) vs. Gonzaga (1) (CBS, 2:10 pm ET) - Gonzaga -13½ O/U 158
The spread is massive against a 5-seed, but it’s entirely justified as Gonzaga is on a historic run of greatness. According to KenPom ratings they are the number 1 offense in the country and number 7 on defense. They have also won 25 straight by double digits this season and 27 of 28 games by ten or more. That includes wins over Kansas, Iowa and Virginia. Creighton barely got by 13-seed UCSB in round one and dominated 12-seed Ohio in round 2, coming off their own upset win over Virginia. Creighton can put up points and finished 20th in the KenPom ratings on that end of the floor, but they have had an uneven season. Gonzaga should continue to roll.
The Pick: Gonzaga 88-71 - Gonzaga -13½ Over 158

Florida State (4) vs. Michigan (1) (CBS, 5:00 pm ET) - Michigan -2½ O/U 143½
This should be a battle to the bitter end as two experienced teams clash in the East Regional. Florida is in their third straight Sweet-16. They are led by a senior, M.J. Walker and junior Raiquan Gray. That experience bodes well and so does their commitment to a balanced and sound way of playing at both ends of the court. Michigan was underestimated by many after losing one of their leaders, Isaiah Livers just before the tournament. But they are led by coach Juwan Howard, a true leader, and this team loves playing for him. They are also deep and as a result they are the only other team remaining in the Top-10 for KenPom rankings on both offense and defense. Look for that edge to show up late.
The Pick: Michigan 74-69 - Michigan -2½ Under 143½

UCLA (11) vs. Alabama (2) (TBS, 7:15 pm ET) - Alabama -6½ O/U 145½
UCLA is the classic team that has been able to put a tough regular season behind them and rise to the occasion of March Madness. Their defense especially has found a new gear as they were just 82nd in the KenPom rankings in the regular season, but they gave up 62 points to BYU in round one and 47 to Abilene Christian in round two, both double digit wins. They are loaded with guards who can shoot and if they get hot should be able to make a game of it. Alabama has been talked about as the best 2-seed in the tournament and they’ve certainly played that way with convincing wins over Iona and Maryland. This will be their straight game against a 10-seed or worse. They have the 2nd ranked KenPom defense in the nation. If they set the tone early, that should be enough for another double-digit win.
The Pick: Alabama 78-67 - Alabama -6½ Over 145½

Oregon (7) vs. USC (6) (TBS, 9:45 pm ET) - USC -2 O/U 138
The final game of the weekend is a matchup of PAC-12 rivals that know each other well. In their sole game earlier this season, USC won 72-58 on Feb. 22nd. Oregon’s elite offense showed up in a big way in the round of 32, shocking a talented 3-seed, Iowa, 95-80. They have five players averaging at least 10 PPG and if they are firing on all cylinders, could be hard to beat. USC has looked equally impressive in their two wins in the tournament, including a total dismantling of 3-seed Kansas 85-51 last time out. Evan Mobley’s draft stock is rising with every win as he and his team have excelled at both ends of the floor. USC’s KenPom rating is 8th overall, 20th on offense and 6th on defense. Oregon is 18th overall, 12th on offense and 54th on defense. This one has all the makings of a classic and should go down to the wire.
The Pick: Oregon 74-72 - Oregon +110 Over 138
