As the New Orleans Pelicans embark on their three-game road trip, they will have the daunting task of facing some of the elite talents that loom in the NBA. Starting with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s stunning 50-point and 15-rebound performance against them on Sunday, Nikola Jokic’s triple-double Tuesday night and now Luka Doncic’s terrific 53-point game against Detroit on Monday–the Pelicans are running out of options. Can they get a win against Dallas on Thursday? Only time will tell.
The Pels are currently on a 9-game losing streak and will be without Zion Williamson again tonight. As for the Mavs, they are looking for back-to-back win and they be without Christian Wood and Maxi Kleber.
When we dig into some trends, the Pels have been terrible on ATS lately. They are O and 4 against the spread in their last 4 games overall and in their last 4 games following a straight up loss. They are also 1 and 5 against the spread in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. Also, Dallas has cover the spread the last 2 times these two teams met this season.
