Carolina vs Vegas NHL Preview & Pick

Moneyline: Vegas -112
Spread: Vegas -1.5 (+220)
Total: 6.0

Carolina Hurricanes Outlook

The Hurricanes are the last unbeaten team in the NHL, rolling into Vegas with a perfect 5-0-0 record and 10 points. This marks the fourth stop on their six-game western swing, and they’ve looked dominant on both ends of the ice, outscoring opponents 13-5 over the last three contests. Carolina’s latest win, a 4-3 overtime thriller against Los Angeles was capped by Seth Jarvis, who continues to emerge as the team’s early-season hero. Jarvis has now tallied four game-winning goals in five games, an NHL record, and is quickly establishing himself as a clutch performer.

Head coach Rod Brind’Amour’s squad is showing all the traits of a contender, strong forechecking, balanced scoring, and dependable goaltending. Their lines are starting to click, and the chemistry across the roster grows sharper each night. The Hurricanes will need every ounce of that momentum to overcome a Vegas team that’s on fire offensively and tough to beat at home.

Player Prop Pick: Seth Jarvis Anytime Goal (+180) — Riding one of the hottest hands in hockey, Jarvis continues to deliver in key moments and has the confidence to keep it going.

Vegas Golden Knights Outlook

The defending Pacific Division champions are once again looking like a powerhouse. Vegas has points in six straight games (4-0-2) and is fresh off a dominant 6-1 win over Calgary, leading the NHL in total goals scored (26). Jack Eichel has been the engine of the offense, piling up four assists against the Flames and leading the league with 15 points. Meanwhile, Mark Stone has been the steady playmaker, recording an assist in all six games, the longest assist streak in franchise history. His status, however, remains uncertain after suffering a left wrist injury on Saturday.

Even without Stone, Vegas boasts one of the deepest rosters in the league. Mitch Marner, newly acquired from Toronto, snapped his early scoring drought with two goals in the Calgary rout and looks comfortable in Bruce Cassidy’s system. The Knights are 2-0-1 at T-Mobile Arena, averaging nearly six goals per game at home. Their ability to set the tempo early and feed off the crowd gives them a strong edge heading into this marquee matchup.

Player Prop Pick: Jack Eichel Over 1.5 Points (+150) — He’s on another level right now, leading all skaters in points and anchoring a red-hot power play.

NHL Prediction and Final Score

This game has the makings of an early-season classic between two elite clubs. Carolina’s balance and structure have carried them so far, but Vegas has been nearly unstoppable in front of their home fans. If Mark Stone suits up, the Golden Knights’ attack becomes even more dangerous. Expect both offenses to generate chances, but Vegas’ scoring depth and home-ice surge should be the difference.

Score Prediction: Golden Knights 4, Hurricanes 3
Pick: Vegas (-112)
Total: Over 6.0 (-122)
