As the Washington Wizards prepare to welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, frustration is beginning to set in after two consecutive losses. In agonizing fashion, they allowed themselves to collapse with 20-point leads against both the Portland Trail Blazers and Brooklyn Nets. This feat of blowing two 20-plus point leads in back-to-back games has not been accomplished by an NBA team within the last 25 seasons–Washington will now have to find a way to break this trend against Cleveland.
The Wizard will be without Kyle Kuzma and are questionable with Bradley Beal who is dealing with a left foot soreness. The Cavs will be without Caris Levert who is suffering from a right hamstring soreness.
The Wizards have been good against the spread in their last 8 going 6- 2. Despite the Wiz being good against the ATS in the last outings, they were not able to cover the spread with Bradley Beal out. That said, I’m taking the Cleveland Cavaliers at -2.5 to cover the spread for my free pick of the day, that is if Bradley beal is out for the game. If he is healthy, I would recommend going the other way.
