The Mariners are riding a heater, 5 wins in their last 6 home games and they’ll be looking to close out a sweep of the White Sox in Thursday’s matinee finale. The new guy, Josh Naylor, is doing everything, smashing homers and swiping bags like he’s trying to out-Rickey Henderson, well, Rickey Henderson.
With 3 bombs and 10 stolen bases in just 12 games since joining Seattle, Naylor’s sparked a well-rounded offense that’s firing on all cylinders. Add Julio Rodríguez to the mix, who blasted a 3-run shot in Wednesday’s game, and you’ve got a lineup that can explode early.
Logan Gilbert (3-4, 3.45 ERA) returns to the mound for his second start since coming off the IL. He looked solid against Texas last week and has dominated Chicago in his career with a 2-0 record and a stingy 1.80 ERA across five outings.
Seattle’s balance of power, speed, and pitching depth has them looking like a team nobody wants to face in October and bettors shouldn’t hesitate to back them here.

The White Sox found themselves buried in a 7-1 hole early on Wednesday before a few late dingers made the score respectable. Despite the loss, they didn’t roll over, credit to Mike Tauchman, Lenyn Sosa, and Michael A. Taylor for going deep.
Still, it’s another L for a team that’s now dropped three straight and shows few signs of snapping out of it.
