As Patrick Mahomes prepares to make history and become the youngest NFL quarterback ever to start three Super Bowls, the focus for himself and his Kansas City Chiefs team is on winning a second championship. On Sunday, they’ll face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII at Glendale, Arizona., hoping to foil their opponents’ formidable defense and take home a highly sought-after win. Mahomes has already written his name into the history books, becoming the only player to ever join the 10,000 passing yards club before his 25th birthday. With a career total of more than 15,000 passing yards at 26 years old, Mahomes is now chasing another record – multiple Super Bowl titles – in an effort to cement his position as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
Though he’s been steadily recovering from the ankle injury Patrick Mahomes sustained against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Jan. 21, the Kansas City Chiefs star won’t be at 100 percent when facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
Another thing to consider here when looking at the stat sheet and DVOA’s, the Chiefs have the #1 passing offense in the league and they go up against the Eagles #1 passing defense. Remember they always say, defense wins games. The Eagles opportunity in term matchup lies in there offense. Kansas City defense hasn’t been the best as they are ranked 20th against the pass and 15th against the run. And you guessed it, the Eagles have the number 1 run offense in the league
