Connecticut vs. Seattle – WNBA Game Preview, Prediction and Player Props

Spread: Seattle -18.0 | Total: 157.0

Connecticut Sun Outlook

Finally, the Sun saw daylight. Connecticut snapped its brutal 10-game skid with a dramatic 93-83 comeback win over the very same Seattle Storm they’ll now face again but this time on the road.

Tina Charles turned back the clock, exploding for 29 points and 11 boards, reminding everyone why she’s a future Hall of Famer. Jacy Sheldon knocked down four triples en route to 16 points, while Bria Hartley added 15 off the bench.

That fourth quarter was a masterpiece: a 27-9 run that stunned the Storm and flipped the narrative. But duplicating that feat in Seattle? That’s a whole new beast.

Player Prop Pick
Tina Charles (CT):
Over 12.5 Points – Charles has scored 29 in her last game and is clearly the Sun’s engine. If they hang around, she’s the reason.

Seattle Storm Outlook

Seattle got slapped with a reality check. Up by 14, cruising, and then… collapse. The Storm got outworked and outhustled in the final stretch, shooting a disastrous 21.4% in the fourth quarter with six costly turnovers.

Gabby Williams didn’t mince words postgame, she felt they disrespected Connecticut, and it cost them. Expect the Storm to bring playoff-level intensity in this revenge spot.

Nneka Ogwumike had a double-double, and Skylar Diggins poured in 23, but the effort late was flat. Now back in front of their home fans, this should be a statement bounce-back game.

Seattle also added veteran Tiffany Mitchell to bolster their thin backcourt, a smart depth move given Lexie Brown’s continued absence due to health concerns.

Player Prop Pick
Skylar Diggins (SEA):
Over 17.5 Points – Diggins looked sharp last game, and with Connecticut’s defensive focus likely shifting to Ogwumike, expect Diggins to attack early and often.

Prediction & Betting Outlook

Seattle won’t be caught sleeping again. Revenge is in the air and intensity should spike from tip-off. Connecticut may have found some rhythm, but that fourth-quarter outburst is unlikely to repeat on the road.

Best Bet: Seattle -18.0
ToralUnder 157.0  — pace should slow if the Storm control this one from start to finish.
Final Score Prediction:
 Seattle 87, Connecticut 67
