The Dallas Cowboys will be tested on the offensive line when they face off against the San Francisco 49ers in their NFC Divisional playoff game this Sunday. Health of the front wall is not certain, so this could prove to be a difficult matchup for the Cowboys if issues arise.
It was an impressive win for Dallas and Dak Prescott made the perfect combination of taking what the defense gives him, while also taking some risks. The Buccaneers defense is not as good as the 49ers’, who have been second in overall defensive DVOA against both the pass and rush since Week 13. Tampa Bay has been 28th in overall DVOA, 30th against the pass, and 7th against the rush this span–meaning that almost every quarterback they’ve faced has looked great in their matchups.
Niners quarterback Brock Purdy has been nothing short of impressive this season, leading the league in passer rating when pressured with a 100.9. Adding to that, the Niners have won 11 consecutive games, 10 by more than four points. Dan Quayles’ creative PAC blitz packages could give Dallas a chance, but it’s hard to imagine the Cowboys consistently making stops against an offense boasting so many weapons.
On that note, we’re rolling with the San Francisco 49ers to cover the spread at -4. They have just been red hot and unstoppable ever since Brock Purdy has taking over. Not only that, but we also think the Niners offensive weapons and defensive talent outmatch the Cowboys.
