For a "meaningless" exhibition game, there are a lot of interesting plot lines Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
First, this will be fans’ first look at the Miami Dolphins under the direction of new head coach Mike McDaniel. McDaniel was known for his innovative offense with the San Francisco 49ers as their offensive coordinator, so it’ll be interesting to see how many wrinkles he will unveil.
But McDaniel may not be using quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, telling the media he’s "encouraged" enough to be leaning toward not playing the quarterback. In any case, backups Teddy Bridgewater and Skylar Thompson will likely see most of the action.
