After winning their last four games before the All-Star break, the Philadelphia 76ers are looking to continue their positive momentum when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies at home on Thursday. The Sixers’ key player, All-Star Joel Embiid, had an impressive showing in Salt Lake City with 32 points for Team LeBron. Embiid has been a significant factor in the team’s success this season, ranking second in the league in scoring with an average of 33.1 points per game, just behind Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks who is averaging 33.3 points per game. All eyes will be on Embiid as he looks to lead his team to another victory.
Looking into the injury report, the Grizzlies will be without Luke Kennard as he deals with an illness and their starting center Steven Adams as he is recovering from a sprained right PCL. As for the Sixers, they are going into Thursday nights game with a healthy lineup.
Some interesting trends to consider for this matchup, Memphis is 1-6 against the spread in their last 7 games whereas Philly is 4-0 on the ATS in their last 4 games overall.
That said, we’re rolling with the public here and taking the Philadelphia 76ers to cover the spread at -3.5 for my free pick of the day. Besides the trends, without Adams I’m not sure how the Grizzlies will matchup with the Sixers Star center Joel Embiid.
