Dallas Stars: Returning Home with Momentum

The Stars couldn’t have scripted a better start to their season, two road wins, both thrillers, both against division rivals. Now they return to Dallas with confidence sky-high and a fan base ready to light up the AAC.

Jason Robertson continues to be the offensive heartbeat of this team. He’s already notched multiple goals and was clutch in the shootout win over Colorado. Add Wyatt Johnston’s hot stick and Thomas Harley’s slick passing, and this Stars team looks dangerous early.

Jake Oettinger remains the steady rock between the pipes, especially when facing Minnesota. The American goaltender has never lost to the Wild in regulation, boasting a ridiculous 7-0-3 record with a .922 save percentage. If he stays sharp, Dallas will be tough to crack on home ice.

Coach Glen Gulutzan, in his second stint with the Stars, emphasized getting his team comfortable at home during practice. His goal is simple, turn the AAC into a fortress.

Prediction for the Stars: Dallas keeps rolling with another balanced performance and leans on Oettinger to lock down late. Expect a tight one, but the Stars shine brightest at home.

Stars Player Prop Pick: Jason Robertson to record 2+ total points (+240) — he’s the engine driving this offense right now.

Minnesota Wild: Power Play or Bust

The Wild arrive in Dallas fresh off a wild (pun intended) 4-3 shootout win over the Kings, but it wasn’t exactly pretty. They blew a 3-0 lead before Marco Rossi saved the night in the shootout. Now, on the second half of a back-to-back, they’ll have to find another gear against a well-rested Dallas squad.

Minnesota’s offense has been electric, but almost exclusively on the power play. All seven of their goals this season have come with the man advantage. Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy are leading the way, combining for six goals and 14 points through three games. That’s scary good, but the team needs to start scoring five-on-five if they want to hang with elite opponents.

Goaltender Filip Gustavsson likely returns to the crease after resting Monday. He’s been solid against Dallas historically, posting a 1.87 GAA and a .943 save percentage in his career. He’ll need every bit of that form tonight to give Minnesota a chance.

Prediction for the Wild: Fatigue and lack of even-strength scoring catch up to them. The Wild hang tough early but fade late under Dallas pressure.

Wild Player Prop Pick: Kirill Kaprizov anytime goal (+120) — when the power play clicks, he’s usually the trigger man.

NHL Prediction and Final Score

The Stars stay perfect behind a dominant Oettinger showing and another productive night from Robertson and Johnston. The Wild’s magic on special teams isn’t enough on the road.

Score Prediction: Dallas 4, Minnesota 2
Pick: Dallas -1.5 (+137)
Total: Over 5.5 Alt Lines (-135)
