Rodgers, who ended last Monday night’s game on the bench after a season-ending Achilles tendon injury in 2023’s opener, threw for 167 yards and a touchdown from a free play. He emphasized the need for the Jets to support their defense by maintaining possession longer than they managed against the 49ers.
“We’ve got to help our defense out," Rodgers stated. "If it takes 30 points to win, we have to score 30, so our performance wasn’t good enough. I hope nobody’s getting frustrated. It’s only one week.”
