Mets vs. Brewers – Game Betting Preview & Prediction

Moneyline: Milwaukee -125
Spread: Milwaukee -1.5 (+164)
Total: 8.0

New York Mets Betting Outlook

The Mets are in a nosedive heading into this series, dropping eight of their last nine while batting a miserable .189 during that stretch. Their most recent effort was a lifeless 4-1 loss to Cleveland where Juan Soto’s solo homer was their only hit, narrowly avoiding a no-hitter at home.

Kodai Senga (7-3, 2.31 ERA) will take the mound to try and stop the bleeding. He’s still working back into rhythm after a hamstring injury sidelined him for nearly a month. Since returning, Senga has been solid but not spectacular, no wins and a 5.25 ERA in three July starts, none of which went beyond five innings.

New York currently sits 2.5 games behind Philadelphia in the NL East, and the urgency is setting in fast. Pete Alonso is on the brink of making franchise history, but the lineup needs more than just solo shots to turn things around.

Milwaukee Brewers Betting Outlook

Milwaukee returns home on fire after a perfect 6-0 road trip through Washington and Atlanta. The Brewers now hold a four-game edge in the NL Central and were the first club in the majors to hit the 70-win mark this season. They’ve been delivering in all phases, timely hitting, dominant pitching, and strong defense.

Brandon Woodruff (3-0, 2.22 ERA) is the story here. Back from shoulder surgery, he’s been lights out over five starts—posting a 0.50 WHIP and a .141 opponent batting average. His most recent outing was another gem: one hit, two runs, and eight punchouts in six innings.

Woodruff’s track record speaks volumes, 18-3 with a 2.33 ERA over his last 37 starts and he’s been effective in limited action vs. the Mets (2-1, 3.31 ERA career).

Andrew Vaughn has also sparked the offense since arriving from the White Sox, hitting .377 with 7 home runs and 28 RBIs in 22 games. His current 12-game hit streak adds another layer of confidence to Milwaukee’s already hot bats.

Prediction & Betting Angle

The Brewers have momentum, a dominant ace on the hill, and a surging lineup that just completed a perfect road run. Meanwhile, the Mets are spiraling with little offensive spark and a starter who hasn’t fully regained form since injury.

Score Prediction: Brewers 4, Mets 2
Pick: Milwaukee (-125)
Total: Under 8.0 (-119)
