They just handled the Clippers 116-97 and actually looked like a team that understands the assignment. That fourth quarter was a 30-13 beatdown, which is basically Portland saying “thanks for coming, drive safe.”
Deni Avdija continues to cook with 35 points, marking his 14th game over 30 this season. At this point, defenses know he is coming and still cannot stop him. Shaedon Sharpe also returned after missing forever and chipped in 8 points. Reinforcements arriving right on time.
They have also beaten Sacramento three times already this season, including a ridiculous 134-133 overtime win where Avdija played hero. So yeah, confidence is not an issue.
From a betting angle, laying 17.5 points is aggressive, but this is a team with everything to play for against a team with… vibes.

Sacramento has energy, but defense and consistency have been optional all year. Against a motivated team, that usually ends exactly how you expect.
