San Antonio Spurs Betting Breakdown

The Spurs hit the road short handed again, leaving Stephon Castle and Victor Wembanyama at home while they continue recovering. Both could return as early as Dec. 10, but San Antonio has learned to compete without them, improving to 6 and 2 in Wemby’s absence after taking down Memphis 126 to 119 on Tuesday.

Harrison Barnes lit up the Grizzlies with 31 points and seven threes, while De’Aaron Fox kept Memphis scrambling with 29. Barnes summed it up perfectly after the win when he said the team is learning to succeed with multiple lineup combinations. That confidence boost matters, especially on the second night of a back to back.

The concern is obvious. San Antonio is walking into a matchup against a rested Orlando team while the Spurs are grinding through travel and minutes. Their pace has been high, their effort commendable, but without their two young stars, staying competitive against elite defensive stretches becomes a much bigger task.

From a betting standpoint, the Spurs have shown fight, but injuries and schedule spots matter. Facing a deeper, fresher opponent on the road does not set up well.

Orlando Magic Betting Breakdown

Orlando enjoyed a day to regroup after edging Chicago 125 to 120, a game where they had to crawl out of a 15 point hole in the third quarter. Desmond Bane erupted for 37 while Franz Wagner tossed in 25, keeping the Magic rolling through a stretch where they have won nine of their last eleven.

Anthony Black has become Orlando’s bench weapon of choice, averaging 13.4 points on efficient shooting and providing exactly the punch the Magic need with Paolo Banchero missing his tenth straight game. Black dropped 22 on the Bulls and turned into a one man avalanche in the second half.

Coach Jamahl Mosley continues to harp on growth and consistency, and his team has responded. Orlando has won four straight against San Antonio and continues to show the ability to impose its style regardless of lineup changes.

The Magic are rested, confident, and playing cohesive basketball. That makes them an attractive favorite in this spot.

NBA Prediction & Betting Angle

The Spurs’ effort level has been impressive, but a road back to back without key starters is a massive disadvantage. Orlando should control the glass and tempo. Both teams play with pace, and neither is at full strength defensively. Fatigue on the San Antonio side could lead to easier Magic scoring opportunities.

Orlando keeps rolling, and San Antonio runs out of fuel late.
