San Francisco vs Philadelphia Preview & Prediction

Spread: Philadelphia -6.0
Moneyline: Philadelphia (-200)
Total: 44.0

Here we go again. Philadelphia swears they are not defending anything. They say the word repeat is banned from the locker room, erased from the dictionary, and probably fined if spoken out loud. That is adorable. Because everyone watching knows exactly what this is. The Eagles are back in the playoffs, at home, favored by six, and absolutely trying to run it back whether they admit it or not.

Philadelphia Eagles: Pretending This Is Not A Sequel

The Eagles enter this game acting like last season never happened, even though there is still confetti stuck in the stadium walls. They won the NFC East, secured the three seed, and now get consecutive home games for the first time all season. Coincidence? Not a chance.

The offense has not been quite as explosive as last year. Some drives feel more like grinding through traffic than racing down the highway. The offensive line has taken a beating, the kicking game causes heartburn, and the play calling has been questioned by everyone with a couch and a remote. None of that matters once the playoffs start.

Jalen Hurts knows this stage. He owns a Super Bowl ring and understands how to manage games when things get uncomfortable. Philadelphia rested starters last week, annoyed gamblers everywhere, and may have sacrificed seeding in exchange for fresh legs. That trade looks smart when January football turns into a street fight.

From a betting perspective, this is a classic home favorite spot. Philadelphia controls tempo, shortens the game when needed, and feeds off crowd energy like it is a renewable resource. Laying six feels aggressive but logical.

San Francisco 49ers: Talented, Dangerous, Slightly Haunted

San Francisco arrives with elite skill players, a dangerous offense, and some emotional baggage. Brock Purdy still remembers his last playoff trip to Philadelphia, even if nobody wants to talk about it. Christian McCaffrey touched the ball more than anyone in the league and somehow still looks fresh, which feels unfair and possibly illegal.

The concern is timing. The offense stalled in the season finale when momentum mattered. McCaffrey was bottled up. Purdy looked human. That is not the version you want heading into a hostile environment where boos fall from the sky like snowflakes.

San Francisco can absolutely win this game if it stays clean and efficient. But asking them to do that on the road against a rested Eagles team is a tall order.

Betting Breakdown and Prediction

Philadelphia at home, with extra rest, and a defense built for playoff football is tough to fade. San Francisco keeps it competitive early, but the Eagles wear them down in the second half. The total sits at forty four, and this feels like a controlled playoff pace rather than a shootout.

Final Score: Eagles 27, 49ers 20
Lean: Philadelphia -6.0
Total:
Over 44.0
