Game Preview

Week 11 marks the start of the AFC North schedule for the Pittsburgh Steelers, kicking off with a pivotal first-place battle against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The Steelers (7-2) hold confidence after winning seven of their last eight meetings with the Ravens (7-3), who aim to reclaim the division lead.

Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin remains unfazed by the demanding schedule, which includes four consecutive division matchups and six of eight against AFC North rivals. “We’ve got no control over the schedule,” Tomlin said. “Our goal is to beat everybody, week by week.”

The Steelers are on a four-game winning streak, averaging 30.8 points per game, with Russell Wilson thriving as quarterback. Wilson led the team to a narrow 28-27 win over the Washington Commanders last week. Meanwhile, the Ravens are on fire offensively, averaging 34.4 points during a stretch of seven wins in their last eight games, led by Lamar Jackson and an NFL-best scoring offense (31.8 points per game).

Baltimore’s Jackson looks to improve his 1-3 record as a starter against Pittsburgh. "It’s a new year, and I’m focused on having fun and winning," Jackson said. He’ll have help from star running back Derrick Henry, who leads the league in rushing yards (1,120) and touchdowns (12).

Pittsburgh’s second-ranked defense (16.2 points allowed per game) will face the daunting task of slowing Baltimore’s explosive attack. Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen, a former teammate of Jackson, looks forward to the challenge. "He’s an incredible competitor, and it’ll be fun to try and stop him," Queen said.

Injury concerns loom for both teams. Ravens cornerback Arthur Maulet (calf) is out, while defensive tackle Travis Jones (ankle) is questionable. The Steelers will miss standout linebacker Alex Highsmith (ankle) and cornerback C.J. Henderson (neck), with additional doubts over running back Jaylen Warren (back).

With playoff positioning on the line, this rivalry matchup promises intensity and high stakes.
