Game Preview

Imagine the impact Amari Cooper could have for the Buffalo Bills with a full week of practice under his belt.

Fresh off being traded from the Cleveland Browns, Cooper made an impressive debut last Sunday with four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown. Now, after a week practicing with quarterback Josh Allen, Cooper aims to elevate his game as the AFC East-leading Bills (5-2) visit the NFC West-leading Seahawks (4-3) on Sunday.

“It was just another day at the office,” said Cooper, a five-time Pro Bowler with ten years in the league.

Cooper’s presence gave Allen a major boost, as he threw for 323 yards in last week’s 34-10 win over the Tennessee Titans, a notable jump from his average of 193 yards per game over the season’s first six games.

“Guys like (Cooper) don’t need much time to get in sync,” Allen remarked. “With his professionalism and talent, we just clicked. It felt natural out there.”

Bills head coach Sean McDermott praised Cooper’s immediate impact.

“Four practices in, and he’s already executing at a high level,” McDermott said. “It’s great to have him here.”

Buffalo’s win streak now stands at two, with a +63 point differential trailing only Washington’s +66.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks rebounded from a three-game slide, securing a 34-14 win over the Falcons. Running back Kenneth Walker III, despite feeling under the weather, delivered a memorable performance on his 24th birthday, rushing for 69 yards and scoring twice.

Walker credited the training staff for keeping him hydrated and pushing through fatigue to deliver the win.

However, Seattle could be without star receiver DK Metcalf, who’s doubtful with a minor MCL sprain. Head coach Mike Macdonald noted Metcalf’s drive: “If there’s any way to play, DK will find it.”

Walker (illness) returned to practice and will play, but cornerbacks Tre Brown and Nehemiah Pritchett (both with ankle issues) are questionable, along with defensive end Mike Morris (ankle) and nose tackle Cameron Young (knee).

For the Bills, wide receiver Curtis Samuel (pectoral), linebacker Terrel Bernard (ankle/pectoral), and defensive tackle DeWayne Carter (wrist) are out. Running back Darrynton Evans is doubtful with a hamstring injury.
