Buffalo Bills 2022-23 NFL Schedule, Season Odds, Props Picks & Predictions

Josh Allen and the Bills Enter as Favorites to Claim First Super Bowl

In a gut-wrenching ending, the Buffalo Bills’ season came to an abrupt demise in the 2021 AFC Divisional Playoff against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bills had a chance to close out the Chiefs, who had just 13 seconds left to tie or win the game late in the fourth quarter, but Kansas City marched for 44 yards on three plays to eventually tie the game with no time on the clock before beating the Bills in overtime with a touchdown without Buffalo’s offense ever stepping on the field.

After two sub-par seasons entering the league, quarterback Josh Allen became one of the best signal-caller in the NFL last season throwing for 4,544 yards with 37 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions. The Wyoming product was particularly awesome in the postseason last year throwing for 637 yards with ten scores and no INTs in two games which is one of the reason the Bills enter this campaign as the favorites to claim this year’s Super Bowl.

Allen could be more lethal this season with the addition of wide receivers Jamison Crowder and Tavon Austin, who are significant upgrades over aging wideouts Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders. In the backfield, newly acquired Duke Johnson and rookie James Cook (6.4 YPC at Georgia) should alleviate the workload that was bestowed on Allen last season. Defensively, the Bills will lean on new signee DE Von Miller’s leadership who should complement an already potent unit.

The Bills’ first few weeks will be an arduous one with the Rams, Titans, Dolphins, Ravens, Steelers and Chiefs on their slate before their bye week.

Buffalo Bills Offseason Moves:
Notable Additions: QB Case Keenum, RB Duke Johnson, WR Jamison Crowder, WR Tavon Austin, TE O.J. Howard, DE Von Miller, DE Shaq Lawson
Notable Departures: QB Mitchell Trubisky, WR Emmanuel Sanders, WR Cole Beasley
1st and 2nd Draft Picks: CB Kaiir Elam (30), RB James Cook (63)

2022-23 Buffalo Bills NFL Futures Odds

The Bottom Line:
The Bills were 5-1 last season against their AFC East nemeses and that domination should remain intact entering this season. There will a few head-scratching losses along the way but this team is too talented and well-rounded on both sides of the ball. They have had bitter losses in their last two playoff games but are ready to move on to greener pastures.
Last year’s record: 11-6
My Prediction: 13-4
