That said, when Bobrovsky is rested and focused, Florida plays with confidence bordering on arrogance.
The Panthers are missing big names, but they have embraced the grind. Tight games, ugly wins, late goals, and zero apologies. They are not trying to impress anyone. They are trying to survive, climb the standings, and remind Carolina that recent playoff trauma was not a fluke.
Carolina Hurricanes: Calm, Collected, Slightly Terrifying
Carolina enters this matchup like a team that knows exactly who it is. They are sitting near the top of the East, stacking wins, and giving up goals like they are allergic to them. Five straight victories, barely allowing anything, and looking annoyingly composed while doing it.
The Hurricanes rotation in net has been unfair. One goalie is hot, another is colder, and a third is somewhere in between, yet all of them somehow keep the puck out. Brandon Bussi has gone from being released to becoming a problem for everyone else. That is hockey in a nutshell.

This is also a revenge flavored game whether they admit it or not. Florida has been the Hurricanes playoff nightmare. Every time Carolina thinks it is their year, Florida shows up and shuts the lights off.
