The Fever have handled Chicago with ease this season, winning all three meetings by an average margin of over 25 points. However, Saturday’s matchup comes with new challenges, Caitlin Clark is set to miss her 10th straight game due to a groin injury, and now Indiana is down two more guards for the year.
Aari McDonald, the team’s secondary playmaker, is sidelined with a broken foot, and Sydney Colson tore her ACL. That leaves Kelsey Mitchell, fresh off a 35-point explosion in the last meeting against Chicago, as the primary offensive weapon.
Indiana is coming off its worst loss of the year, a 95-60 blowout in Phoenix, but returns home, where they’ve been far stronger. Even short-handed, their depth and scoring balance have consistently overwhelmed Chicago.

The Sky limp into this game without Angel Reese for the eighth time in ten games. In Thursday’s 86-65 loss to Atlanta, they collapsed after halftime, outscored by 27 in the final two quarters. This has been a recurring problem: sluggish third quarters leading to double-digit defeats.
Chicago could also be missing Ariel Atkins (leg) and Hailey Van Lith (ankle), while Michaela Onyenwere (knee) is probable. Even when healthy, the Sky have struggled against Indiana, dropping all three matchups and never keeping it close.
