The red-hot Pistons are rolling into Philadelphia on a five-game heater, sitting atop the Eastern Conference and looking every bit like a team on a mission. Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren have become one of the NBA’s most exciting duos, the perfect mix of finesse and muscle. His 20-point, 17-rebound, 10-assist night gave head coach Nick Nurse a new weapon, a versatile forward who can handle the ball and feed the post effectively. Watford’s emergence helps keep the Sixers’ offense unpredictable, even when their stars rest.
Philadelphia’s challenge will be keeping up with Detroit’s tempo. Without Embiid’s rim protection, the Sixers could find themselves trading buckets all night, which isn’t ideal against a team this confident.
