Houston Rockets Betting Breakdown

Houston rolls into San Francisco with revenge on its mind after last postseason’s heartbreak, even though this NBA Cup matchup probably won’t mean much for advancement. Still, the Rockets would love to pay the Warriors back however they can.

They just smashed Phoenix thanks to an explosive 28 point performance from Amen Thompson, who shredded the Suns in transition and bullied his way to the rim all night. With no Kevin Durant or Fred VanVleet available, Houston had to embrace a faster and more physical style and it worked. Their paint dominance and fast break onslaught should be central again here.

The Rockets will also lean heavily on their defense, especially Thompson, who frustrated Devin Booker and gave him very little clean space to operate. That same pressure will be needed again against Stephen Curry, who they managed to keep under 40 percent from deep in last year’s playoff series.

Houston is 11 4, playing with confidence and pace, and winning with a collective effort. Even without key veterans, this roster has shown it can punch above expectations when the game becomes pure effort and movement.

Rockets Player Prop Pick: Amen Thompson Over 19.5 Points – He is relentlessly attacking the paint recently and faces a Warriors defense that often surrenders lanes to downhill guards.

Golden State Warriors Betting Breakdown

The Warriors had their moment in Monday’s blowout win over Utah, where Stephen Curry dropped 31 and Buddy Hield finally rediscovered his shooting rhythm. Hield drilled four triples after a cold patch, which is timely considering Golden State still has scoring inconsistencies.

Last season’s Game 7 heroics against Houston are still fresh, but this Warriors squad enters shorthanded without Jonathan Kuminga and possibly Draymond Green, making them far more perimeter-driven and much lighter on interior toughness.

Curry will still get his looks, but Houston’s athletic guards have shown they can chase him off rhythm and force tougher attempts. Interior rebounding could also be trouble given the number of bodies Golden State is missing.

Golden State is 10 9 and has been unpredictable, but the home floor tends to steady them just enough. If Hield stays hot and Curry finds an efficient groove, the Warriors can control this one offensively.

Warriors Player Prop Pick: Stephen Curry Over 3.5 Made Threes – He will have high volume again and always responds after physical defensive matchups.

NBA Final Score & Expert Prediction

This shapes up like a tight, energetic game between two teams desperate for momentum. Houston is the more physical and cohesive unit right now, but Golden State’s shot makers at home give them the slight betting edge.
