Kansas City Royals 2023 MLB Preview, Odds & Betting Props
In 2015, the Kansas City Royals won the World Series and had a talented core of players with a dedicated fan base. However, since then, they have struggled to even reach .500 and are currently on a seven-season losing streak.
Although this is not as bad as their previous 18-season losing streak from 1995 to 2012, there does not seem to be any indication of an upswing for the team. In fact, they only won 65 games in 2022, following a season with just 74 wins. As a sports betting analyst, it may be worth considering these recent struggles when placing bets on the Royals’ future outcomes.

What to expect in 2023?
FanGraphs currently projects the Kansas City Royals to finish with the sixth- or seventh-fewest wins in the league, following a disappointing 65-97 record last year. Despite playing in a weak AL Central division, it seems that another rough season is on the horizon for the Royals.
While they have some promising young players, their central projection of 72 wins and low playoff odds of around five percent suggest that they will need an unlikely upset to even make the expanded version of the postseason. As a sports betting analyst, it may be wise to consider these projections when placing bets on the Royals’ outcomes in upcoming games.
