Golden State Warriors Outlook
The Warriors are back at it again on no rest, which for this aging roster means more ice baths than warmups. Coach Steve Kerr is still figuring out which combination of players can survive a back-to-back without resembling a senior rec league. Al Horford, who is somehow still playing professional basketball in 2025, returns to the rotation, bringing his veteran presence and more gray hair than points per minute.
Golden State’s energy usually depends on Stephen Curry’s mood and how many times Draymond Green argues with the referees. Moses Moody has been a bright spot off the bench, knocking down threes and occasionally reminding everyone he’s not a G League player. The Warriors are still dangerous at home, but after years of playoff wars, their legs look like they’ve been through a decade of marathons and bad decisions.
Los Angeles Clippers Outlook
The Clippers, on the other hand, are the league’s mystery box. They can look like title contenders one night and a YMCA squad the next. With James Harden running the show, the offense is either pure brilliance or a live tutorial on poor shot selection. Kawhi Leonard quietly continues his “load management but don’t call it that” campaign, while Ivica Zubac is the only man in LA doing consistent hard labor under the rim.
Bradley Beal is out (again) with back issues, which means Bogdan Bogdanovic steps in to fill the void and probably take 15 shots in 10 minutes. Coach Tyronn Lue insists the team is “very talented,” which is true, but talent doesn’t always translate when half your roster checks the injury report more than the playbook.
NBA Prediction
Expect a chaotic, high-scoring game featuring highlight plays, defensive lapses, and several minutes of pure confusion. The Warriors’ veterans might have just enough gas to make it interesting, but the Clippers’ deeper lineup and fresher legs give them the edge.
Somewhere in the third quarter, Harden will attempt a step-back three so ambitious it could qualify as performance art.
