Atlanta Braves Betting Outlook

The Braves are heating up again, winning five of their last six as they look to put the finishing touch on a series sweep against the Mets. The team has momentum, a surging offense, and a stud returning to form in Spencer Strider, who’s back from both Tommy John and a hamstring setback.

Strider (1-5, 4.35 ERA) was dominant in his last outing, striking out 13 over six scoreless innings vs. Colorado. That’s a major step forward for a guy with ace-level stuff and postseason pedigree. While his ERA still looks inflated, his strikeout upside is undeniable, especially with 39 Ks in 30 2/3 innings vs. the Mets all-time.

Offensively, Atlanta’s stars are coming alive. Ronald Acuña Jr. is slugging his way through June, batting .390 with 8 homers in just 23 games back. Matt Olson, meanwhile, has been rock-solid with a 19-game on-base streak and 15 bombs on the year.

Player Prop Picks (Braves):
Spencer Strider Over 7.5 Strikeouts
Matt Olson to Record an RBI

New York Mets Betting Outlook

Things are trending in the wrong direction for the Mets, who have dropped five straight and watched a 5-game NL East lead shrink to just one over Philly. Now they run into a red-hot Braves team on the road.

Clay Holmes (7-3, 2.87 ERA) takes the hill in what will be his first career start against Atlanta. He’s been solid overall but shaky with the long ball, surrendering six homers in his last 29 2/3 innings. He was pulled early last start after just 79 pitches, a move that backfired as the bullpen coughed up the lead.

The Mets still have some bright spots. Jeff McNeil extended his on-base streak to 20 games, and Juan Soto is just one hit away from 1,000 for his career. That kind of milestone could be the spark the Mets need.

Player Prop Picks (Mets):
Juan Soto to Record 2+ Total Bases
Jeff McNeil to Score a Run

Betting Insight & Prediction

The Braves are trending in the right direction, and Strider’s breakout performance last time out could signal a return to dominance. Meanwhile, the Mets are scuffling and Holmes may not last deep into this one.

Final Score Prediction: Braves 6, Mets 4
Lean: Atlanta RL -1.5 (+155)
Total:
Over 8.5 (-125)
