The New York Yankees are seeking a turnaround after a challenging stretch as they open a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Friday.

Conversely, the Cubs (72-68) have been on an upward trajectory, winning 13 of their last 18 games, which keeps them in the hunt for a wild-card spot. This includes a historic no-hitter pitched by Shota Imanaga and his relievers during a 12-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday.
The pitching achievements come despite recent injuries to key pitchers Justin Steele and Jorge Lopez, prompting adjustments in the Cubs’ lineup.
