The Mariners are turning back the clock to 1998, but this time it’s not Griffey making history, it’s Cal Raleigh. With two more bombs Friday night, Raleigh matched Junior’s pre-All-Star break franchise record of 35 homers. Add in Randy Arozarena, who’s on a heater of his own with five homers in five games, and this lineup is suddenly sparking fireworks. Dylan Moore even broke a brutal 1-for-38 slump with a solo blast to cap off a power-loaded 6-0 win.
Luis Castillo (4-5, 3.55 ERA) will toe the rubber for Seattle, fresh off holding the Rangers to one run over six innings. He owns the Pirates in his career (2.60 ERA in 15 starts) and brings the edge back to a red-hot rotation.
