Seattle Mariners Preview
Seattle enters Tuesday’s matchup blazing hot from the mound, riding a dominant 29 2/3-inning scoreless streak. This stretch includes three straight shutouts and a team ERA of 1.83 over the past six games. George Kirby and the bullpen combined for a five-hitter in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Pittsburgh, and the Mariners have allowed just two earned runs in their last 54 innings.
Cal Raleigh leads Seattle’s power surge. He has 35 home runs, tying Ken Griffey Jr. for the most by a Mariner before the All-Star break. While Raleigh has been boom-or-bust at the plate recently, his long-ball potential is always a threat.

He’s been shaky recently, giving up eight runs in just four innings against the Blue Jays in his last start. He did face Seattle once earlier this year, allowing two runs in five innings.
