Taj Bradley seeks his fifth straight win as the Tampa Bay Rays face the Toronto Blue Jays in the series finale on Thursday afternoon.
Bradley has been exceptional over his last seven starts, posting a 4-0 record with a stellar 0.82 ERA and holding opponents to a .170 batting average. He has racked up 51 strikeouts against 16 walks across 44 innings during this impressive stretch.
The Rays, sitting at 3-3 on their seven-game road trip, aim for a victory Thursday to secure a winning trip. Their overall record fell to .500 after a 6-3 loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday, marking the 24th time this season they’ve hit that mark—a team record.
In his recent performances, Bradley delivered two consecutive shutout outings, allowing five hits over seven innings against the Cleveland Guardians on July 12, and then just one hit against the New York Yankees in a 9-1 win last Saturday. "He’s just on a dominant run right now, really feeling good with all of his pitches," remarked Rays manager Kevin Cash.
Despite his recent form, Bradley maintains a focused, one-game-at-a-time approach. "Nah, I go start to start," he said. "All those outings in the past, they’re in the past."
