Warriors vs Rockets Game 4 Betting Preview & Breakdown
Spread: Golden State -4.0 | Total: 203.0
Golden State Warriors Preview
The Warriors held firm without Jimmy Butler in Game 3, but Monday night’s Game 4 against the Houston Rockets could hinge on whether their star forward returns. Butler, nursing a pelvic and glute injury from Game 2, remains questionable, with coach Steve Kerr offering little clarity.
Regardless, Golden State proved it can still handle business thanks to Stephen Curry’s masterclass. Curry dropped 36 points, handed out nine assists, and collected seven boards to lift the Warriors. He’s now cracked the NBA’s Top 10 all-time playoff scorers list, surpassing Tony Parker.
Golden State’s bench also delivered a spark, with Buddy Hield (17 points) and Gary Payton II (16 points on 7-of-9 shooting) stepping up big time. If Butler sits again, expect Curry and the reserves to push even harder to lock down a commanding 3-1 series lead.
Player Prop Picks for Warriors:
Stephen Curry Over 27.5 Points
Buddy Hield Over 13.5 Points
Houston Rockets Preview
Houston is left to stew over a missed opportunity after leading by two entering the fourth quarter before crumbling down the stretch. Fred VanVleet posted 17 points but acknowledged the Rockets were out-executed when it mattered most.
Containing Curry remains Houston’s biggest headache. Curry is averaging 29.0 points, 7.0 assists, and 6.0 rebounds for the series while hitting 45% from deep (14-for-31). VanVleet admitted Houston’s defensive intensity dropped compared to earlier games.
Meanwhile, Jalen Green, who exploded for 38 points in Game 2, stumbled badly with just nine points in Game 3. The Rockets need him to bounce back to have any chance of leveling the series.
Alperen Sengun continues to be a bright spot, averaging 19.3 points and 12 rebounds through three games. But secondary scoring must improve fast — VanVleet is hitting just 26.8% from the floor.
Player Prop Picks for Rockets:
Alperen Sengun Over 10.5 Rebounds
Fred VanVleet Under 13.5 Points
Prediction
Golden State’s playoff experience and Curry’s brilliance are too much for this young Rockets squad, especially if Butler returns at even 80%. Houston’s inconsistency and poor shooting trends are concerning. Expect the Warriors to pull away late again.
