Boston Red Sox Betting Preview
The Red Sox have been red-hot, riding a six-game winning streak into Tuesday’s matchup and looking to make it seven straight. After torching the Royals 8-5 in the series opener, Boston has now scored five or more runs in five of its last six games. Their bats ignited early Monday, putting up a five-spot in the first inning, following a six-run frame the day before against Houston.
Manager Alex Cora credits the streak to plate discipline and pressure on the basepaths, saying the team has been “running the bases extremely well” and “putting the ball in play.” Fenway Park has certainly played its part, as the Sox have won 13 of their last 14 at home.
Garrett Crochet (12-4, 2.23 ERA), the team’s flame-throwing southpaw, gets the call Tuesday. He’s dominated the Royals in the past, including a gem back in May when he tossed seven innings of one-run ball. With Crochet on the mound and Boston’s bats clicking, the Red Sox are in prime position to keep the streak alive.

Kansas City Royals Betting Preview
The Royals showed late signs of life in Monday’s loss, putting together a four-run rally in the eighth, only for an aggressive baserunning blunder to end the inning prematurely. Manager Matt Quatraro acknowledged the mistake, noting that Nick Loftin’s attempt to score down by three wasn’t the smart play.
Rookie Ryan Bergert (1-0, 2.78 ERA) will make his team debut after being acquired from the Padres. The right-hander has decent strikeout stuff, fanning 34 batters over 35 2/3 innings, but this is a tough first assignment against one of the hottest lineups in baseball.
KC will need to keep mistakes to a minimum and hope Bergert can hold the line early. Otherwise, this could be another long night at Fenway.
