Aaron Judge, who had been flirting with a .400 average earlier this year, has cooled off slightly, going just 1-for-12 over the weekend and striking out three times in Sunday’s 2-0 loss. Even so, Judge is still hitting .327 over his last 15 games, and confidence remains high in the clubhouse. Help could also be on the way with Giancarlo Stanton potentially rejoining the lineup after rehabbing an elbow injury.
On the mound, Clarke Schmidt gets the start. He’s been solid, giving up three runs or fewer in nine of his last 10 outings and holding the Angels scoreless across six innings in their last meeting.
