Spread: Oklahoma -6.5

Auburn Tigers Betting Outlook

It’s a storyline made for college football: Jackson Arnold faces his former team. Arnold, who transferred from Oklahoma to Auburn, gets his chance at revenge while trying to keep the Tigers’ undefeated start alive. So far, he’s been sharp, over 500 passing yards, four touchdowns, and a strong ground presence with nearly 200 rushing yards. Auburn’s offense leans on balance, with Arnold and running back Jeremiah Cobb (314 yards, four TDs) driving the attack.

Defensively, Auburn will have to slow down a Sooners squad averaging explosive production under new leadership. Still, Hugh Freeze’s group thrives when they can pound the football and control tempo, which could help cover the spread if they avoid turnovers.

Oklahoma Sooners Betting Outlook

The Sooners look like a team reborn after last year’s disappointing campaign. New quarterback John Mateer has energized the offense, combining for over 1,100 total yards and nine touchdowns in just three games. Under offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle, Oklahoma has found its rhythm again, and the unit looks like a legitimate SEC contender.

Defensively, Oklahoma has been lights-out so far, allowing only one touchdown all season and ranking top-five nationally in yards allowed. However, missing defensive end R Mason Thomas for the first half could give Auburn an early window of opportunity.

Prediction & Betting Angle

This matchup has plenty of emotion, with Arnold trying to outduel his old program and Oklahoma aiming to prove its new identity. Auburn’s running game will test the Sooners, but Oklahoma’s defense has been too dominant to ignore. Expect a physical, low-to-mid scoring contest.

The Sooners’ defense and Mateer’s balanced attack should be enough to cover the number, while the total leans slightly Over 46.5 given both defenses’ ability to limit big plays.

Final Score:  Oklahoma 27, Auburn 20
Lean:  Oklahoma -6.5
Total:
Over 46.5
