Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Clippers Preview: Saturday Night Lights and Laughs in Inglewood

The Los Angeles Clippers are five-point favorites with the total set at 228, but the only thing guaranteed Saturday night is chaos and probably a few bricks from mid-range. After Thursday’s 115-102 Phoenix win, these two teams are running it back, this time in Inglewood, where the Clippers hope someone remembers how to play defense.

Phoenix Suns: “Fully Charged and Finally Healthy-ish”

The Suns are inching closer to being whole again, and their timing couldn’t be better. Jalen Green came back like he’d been marinating in Gatorade and pure confidence, dropping 29 points in his season debut. Devin Booker casually added 24, because that’s what Booker does, score, smirk, and ruin someone’s parlay.

Head coach Jordan Ott is finally seeing his lineup take shape, though Dillon Brooks remains sidelined with an abdomen issue. The Suns are 3-1 in their last four, and after a miserable 0-4 road start, they’re praying the wheels don’t fall off when they leave Arizona.

Green was electric, hitting six threes like he was allergic to two-pointers. “It’s not easy coming back from injury,” Ott said, which is coach-speak for “thank God he didn’t shoot like Beal.”

Phoenix looked smooth, confident, and just a little smug, the perfect combo for a team that’s starting to figure out how to play basketball again.

Los Angeles Clippers: “The Walking MASH Unit”

The Clippers, meanwhile, are giving off serious “we might need a priest” energy. Kawhi Leonard’s ankle is acting up again, James Harden missed the game for “personal reasons” (translation: maybe he saw the box score), and the team has now dropped three straight.

Ivica Zubac at least showed up, posting 23 points and 11 rebounds while everyone else tried to remember what their job description was. Bradley Beal, returning to face his former Suns team was ice cold, shooting 2-for-14 while Phoenix fans booed like it was their cardio workout.

Head coach Tyronn Lue summed it up best: “We gave up 19 threes and 40 points in a quarter.” That’s not just bad defense, that’s a horror film with sneakers.

The Betting Angle and Prediction

Phoenix has the momentum, the healthier roster, and a suddenly rejuvenated Jalen Green. The Clippers? They have Zubac and a dream. Unless Kawhi and Harden return from the injury and mystery list, expect the Suns to stay hot and Lue to stay frustrated.
