Fresh off a gritty road trip to New York, the Dodgers (32-21) look to shake off a sloppy Sunday performance as they head into Cleveland to face the Guardians. Despite dropping a 3-1 finale to the Mets, all eyes were on Shohei Ohtani. The slugger crushed his 18th homer of the year and even made headlines pregame with a 22-pitch bullpen session. If his elbow recovery stays on track, he could be back on the mound by mid-July adding even more value to LA’s already potent roster.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto (5-3, 1.86 ERA) gets the nod and is in elite form, allowing just two earned runs over his last three starts combined. He’ll face the Guardians for the first time, but given his dominance and sharp command, oddsmakers rightfully have the Dodgers as road favorites.

Returning home after a solid 5-4 road trip, Cleveland (29-23) welcomes the defending champs with momentum on their side. After taking 3 of 4 from the AL Central-leading Tigers, they’ll now turn to Gavin “Big Rig” Williams (4-2, 3.94 ERA) for a tough test against LA. Williams’ history versus the Dodgers is, well, ugly he’s 0-2 with an 18.00 ERA across two starts, surrendering 15 baserunners in just five innings. This one could get messy if he doesn’t find a quick fix.
Still, the Guardians have Jose Ramirez in their corner, and he’s absolutely raking with an 18-game hit streak in tow.

Jose Ramirez – Over 1.5 Total Bases: With his bat blazing, expect J-Ram to stay hot, even against Yamamoto.
Steven Kwan – Over 0.5 Hits: Batting leadoff, Kwan’s contact skills should net him at least one knock to set the tone.
