Baltimore vs Miami Preview & Prediction

Baltimore Ravens Outlook
The Ravens have been through the wringer this season but might finally be turning a corner. After snapping a four-game losing skid with a gritty win over Chicago, they’re back home and looking to build momentum and with Lamar Jackson expected to return from a hamstring injury, the offense instantly gets a jolt of life.
Baltimore has been fighting uphill since its 1-5 start but now faces a stretch of winnable games. Coach John Harbaugh knows his team can’t afford a slip-up against a scrappy Miami squad, especially after what happened in 2021 when the Ravens were upset on Thursday Night Football. Expect Baltimore to lean on Derrick Henry early to control tempo and test Miami’s physicality in the trenches.
The passing game could be the difference-maker, though. Zay Flowers, who returns to play in his hometown for the first time since being drafted, has big-play potential, especially against a Dolphins secondary that has been inconsistent. Jackson’s chemistry with Flowers and Mark Andrews should open up opportunities downfield if the offensive line holds up on the short week.
Player Prop Pick (Baltimore): Lamar Jackson Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns — Miami’s defense still struggles against mobile quarterbacks who extend plays, and Jackson should find chances to capitalize through the air.
Miami Dolphins Outlook
Miami finally looked like the team fans expected last week, dismantling Atlanta 34-10 behind Tua Tagovailoa’s best performance of the season. The Dolphins’ offense clicked on all cylinders, Tua tossed four touchdowns to four different receivers, while the defense suffocated the Falcons’ run game, allowing just 45 rushing yards.
Coach Mike McDaniel credited the win to execution and focus, but he knows duplicating that success against Baltimore’s toughness won’t come easy. Physicality will be key. The Dolphins need to establish the run early with Raheem Mostert and force Baltimore’s defense to respect the ground game. Linebacker Bradley Chubb emphasized the need to “match the Ravens’ physicality or outdo it,” a tall order against one of the league’s most punishing defenses.
Tua, meanwhile, continues to battle a swollen eye but insists he’s comfortable with his new visor look and his teammates love it. Confidence is high in Miami’s locker room, and if the offensive line can give Tua time, the Dolphins have the speed to challenge Baltimore’s secondary vertically.
Player Prop Pick (Miami): Jaylen Waddle Over 4.5 Receptions — With Hill absent, Waddle’s target share should increase significantly as Miami adapts its offensive look.
Expert Betting Outlook & NFL Prediction
This matchup has been unpredictable in recent years, swinging wildly between blowouts and shootouts. Miami comes in rejuvenated, but Baltimore’s balance, physicality, and the return of Lamar Jackson tilt the edge in their favor. Expect the Ravens’ ground game to wear down the Dolphins late, with Jackson sealing it through the air.
