Atlanta vs San Antonio Preview & Prediction

Spread: San Antonio -1.0
Moneyline: San Antonio (-115)
Total: 233.0

San Antonio Spurs Outlook

San Antonio has decided that who needs Wemby? when you can win by committee. The Spurs have ripped off two straight wins without their superstar center, leaning on depth, ball movement, and the occasional Harrison Barnes heat check to survive this homestand.

Tuesday’s win over Memphis showed exactly how they’re getting it done. De’Aaron Fox led the charge with 26, Barnes caught fire in the fourth with seven straight points, and the defense finally settled in after a chaotic third quarter. Coach Mitch Johnson basically begged his group for discipline, and they actually delivered when it mattered.

San Antonio is still missing Stephon Castle along with Wembanyama, but the strange lineups are finding a rhythm. The ball is moving, the shots are balanced, and they’re embracing the “win-by-group-effort” identity until reinforcements return.

Spurs Prop Pick: Keldon Johnson Over Points – He gets a usage bump with Wemby sidelined, and Atlanta’s weakened defense gives him a great scoring matchup.

Atlanta Hawks Outlook

Atlanta heads to San Antonio annoyed, bruised, and probably wondering how they shot the ball like that. Their five-game win streak died in a 120-112 home loss to Detroit, where they rallied from down 19 but could not close the last two minutes.

Jalen Johnson continues to be their heartbeat with 25 points. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Onyeka Okongwu also chipped in, while Mouhamed Gueye delivered his first double-double. But losing Kristaps Porzingis, Zaccharie Risacher, and of course Trae Young has gutted the Hawks’ offensive consistency.

The real shocker? The Hawks shot just 34 percent from deep after a blistering 41 percent stretch over the previous five games. They got their usual looks, but the ball just refused to cooperate.

Coach Quin Snyder keeps reminding his group that they’re young, still learning late-game execution, and still figuring out new roles on the fly. But on the road against a Spurs team gaining confidence? Not ideal timing.

Hawks Prop Pick: Jalen Johnson Over Rebounds – He’s being asked to do everything, and against a shorthanded Spurs frontcourt, he’ll have volume on the glass again.

Final Score Prediction

The Spurs have chemistry, home momentum, and more lineup stability right now. Atlanta’s injuries and unreliable perimeter shooting hurt them late once again.

Final Score:  Spurs 117, Hawks 113
