He says the Cavs are trending upward, and it is hard to argue with a team that has won four of its last five despite playing without several rotation pieces.
Cleveland’s depth has been stretched but surprisingly effective. With Lonzo Ball, Jarrett Allen, Craig Porter Jr, Sam Merrill and Max Strus all sidelined, younger players stepped into rotation roles and punched above their weight. Tyrese Proctor and Nae Qwan Tomlin gave meaningful minutes and showed the Cavs can survive short handed stretches. Cleveland’s challenge now is carrying that momentum into a building where Toronto has been frighteningly good.
