New York Knicks: Fast Start Dominance
New York rolls into Game 5 as a 6.5-point favorite after finally remembering how to play basketball for a full game. Shocking, I know.
Game 4 started with the Knicks punching Atlanta in the mouth early, jumping out to a lead and never looking back. Turns out, playing defense and not turning the ball over works. Who knew?
Karl-Anthony Towns casually dropped a triple-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists like it was just another Tuesday. That’s elite production and honestly rude to the Hawks defense.
OG Anunoby kept cooking with 22 points on efficient shooting and grabbed 10 boards. Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson chipped in 19 and controlled the tempo like a guy who’s tired of close losses.
Then there’s Josh Hart doing everything. Defense, hustle, chaos. Basically the human version of “we’re not losing tonight.”
New York forced 19 turnovers and turned them into 21 points, which is the basketball equivalent of stealing someone’s wallet and using their credit card right in front of them.
If the Knicks bring that same energy again, this could get out of hand quickly.
Atlanta Hawks: Missing In Action
Atlanta showed up in Game 4 like they forgot the game started at tip-off. No energy, no rhythm, and definitely no defense.
CJ McCollum cooled off hard, scoring just 17 points after averaging 27.0 earlier in the series. Not ideal when you’re supposed to be the guy.
Jalen Johnson also struggled, finishing with 14 points on inefficient shooting. The Hawks as a whole shot 41 percent and an even uglier 24.4 percent from three. That’s not offense, that’s a bricklaying contest.
And the transition game? Completely gone. They didn’t score a fastbreak point until the fourth quarter. That’s like a sprinter deciding to jog the first three laps.
Turnovers killed them. You can’t run if you’re constantly picking the ball out of the net.
The Hawks still have talent, but they need to show up from the opening minute. Otherwise, they’re just helping New York build another lead.
LVSB NBA Playoffs Prediction
Knicks -6.5 feels about right. When New York plays with intensity, they look like the better team. When they don’t, it’s chaos. Lucky for bettors, they just remembered how to play.
Total at 214.0 depends on Atlanta. If they wake up, we get a game. If not, we get another Knicks-controlled beatdown.
Atlanta needs a fast start. New York needs to do literally the same thing again.
Final Score: Knicks 112, Hawks 101
