LA Dodgers vs NY Yankees MLB Preview & Pick

Moneyline: LA Dodgers -110
Runline: LA Dodgers -1.5 (+150)
Total: 9.0

The Los Angeles Dodgers return to Yankee Stadium, where their last visit ended with champagne, a World Series trophy and Yankees fans wondering why baseball hates them personally. This time, the only guaranteed celebration is an awkward handshake line after nine innings.

Dodgers: Still Great, Slightly Wobbly

The Dodgers own MLB’s best record at 61-36 despite entering the All-Star break on a three-game losing streak and going 2-5 over their last seven games. Even baseball’s best team occasionally decides to play like they forgot which end of the bat to hold.

Shohei Ohtani remains in the lineup after having his left knee drained. He skipped the All-Star Game but had already crushed his 22nd home run before the break. Whether he pitches or not, seeing Ohtani in the batter’s box is stressful enough for opposing pitchers.

Roki Sasaki gets the ball for Los Angeles. He is 3-5 with a 5.33 ERA and has posted a 5.86 ERA over his last seven starts. His most recent outing against Colorado saw him allow three runs over six innings.

Yankees: Finding Life Again

The Yankees limp into this series on a four-game winning streak after somehow surviving a stretch where they lost 15 of 20 games. Baseball is weird like that.

Ben Rice has caught fire, batting .359 with six home runs and 14 RBIs this month after hitting just .196 during the previous month. Apparently, all he needed was a calendar change.

Aaron Judge remains sidelined with a fractured rib, leaving New York at 18-19 without its biggest bat. Gerrit Cole takes the mound with a 3-4 record and a 4.04 ERA. Against the Dodgers, he owns a 4-2 record with a 5.01 ERA across eight regular-season starts.

LVSB Betting Prediction

Both offenses have enough firepower to make pitchers question their career choices, and neither starter has inspired much confidence lately. The Dodgers have the stronger lineup from top to bottom, and even with recent struggles, they still look like the safer side.

Final Score: Dodgers 6, Yankees 5
