NY Yankees vs Chi. White Sox MLB Preview & Pick

Moneyline: NY Yankees -139
Runline: NY Yankees -1.5 (+125)

Bronx Bombers Keep Rolling

The Yankees keep losing players, yet somehow they refuse to lose baseball games. Cody Bellinger is sidelined for 4-6 weeks with a hamstring injury, but New York responded the only way they know how—by hanging nine runs on the White Sox. Apparently, the Yankees’ depth chart is just a magic hat.

New York has won four of its last five games and is closing the gap in the AL East after a rough 15-18 stretch. Jazz Chisholm Jr. did his part Monday with two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored, while Ali Sanchez picked the perfect time to launch his first career home run—a three-run bomb that completely ruined Chicago’s evening.

Chicago Needs More Than a Broom

The White Sox jumped out to a 3-0 lead Monday before their defense decided to audition for a blooper reel. Three errors and several shaky plays handed momentum right back to New York. Colson Montgomery did everything he could with three hits and two RBIs despite dealing with a bruised shin, but one hot bat can’t cover defensive chaos.

Manager Will Venable wasn’t thrilled, and honestly, neither were White Sox fans who probably started searching for the remote by the seventh inning.

Pitching Matchup

Anthony Kay (7-4, 4.21 ERA) gets another crack at the Yankees after they tagged him for four runs over four innings back in June. His career numbers against New York aren’t exactly bedtime reading either, posting an 8.10 ERA over five appearances.

Meanwhile, Gerrit Cole (3-5, 3.92 ERA) looks ready to remind everyone why he’s still an ace. He dominated Chicago earlier this season with six strong innings, allowing just three hits while striking out six. Even better, he enters this matchup after punching out a season-high 11 Pirates over seven innings without issuing a single walk.

LVSB Best Bet

The Yankees are battered, bruised and somehow playing their best baseball anyway. Chicago’s sloppy defense against a lineup that capitalizes on mistakes is about as safe as juggling chainsaws. Unless the White Sox suddenly discover flawless defense overnight, New York should stay in control.

Final Score: Yankees 6, White Sox 3
Lean:  NY Yankees -1.5 (+125)
