C.J. Stroud 2026-27 NFL Season Preview
C.J. Stroud enters the 2026-27 season with plenty riding on his performance after consecutive down years and a difficult postseason exit. Houston exercised his 2027 option but stopped short of a long-term extension, making Stroud one of the more interesting bounce-back candidates for season props, Texans futures and MVP markets.
The Texans upgraded the offense by adding David Montgomery and reinforcing the interior line, while Nico Collins remains the top receiving threat. Jayden Higgins’ ACL injury hurts, but Kayshon Boutte adds vertical speed. Stroud also enters camp in better shape and gets a second year in Nick Caley’s system. With Houston’s defense already championship-caliber, Stroud’s rebound could determine whether the Texans merely win games or seriously challenge for the Super Bowl.
