(7) Miami vs Stanford Preview & Prediction

Spread: Miami -24.5
Moneyline: Miami (-10000)
Total: 47.5

Miami begins its 2026 revenge tour Friday night at Stanford after finishing one win short of a national championship last season. The No. 7 Hurricanes are favored by 24.5 points with the Total at 47.5, while Stanford was politely voted “good luck out there” by finishing last in the ACC preseason poll.

Stanford already has one game under its belt, beating Hawaii 37-27. The Cardinal nearly blew a 23-7 lead before scoring twice late, which probably wasn’t included in Tavita Pritchard’s preferred game script.

Stanford Has Some Weapons

Micah Ford rushed for 99 yards and three touchdowns against Hawaii after scoring only four times all last season. Michigan transfer Davis Warren also impressed, completing 22 of 34 passes for 310 yards and one touchdown.

The problem? Stanford surrendered 233 yards during three late Hawaii scoring drives. Miami’s offense is slightly more dangerous than Hawaii’s. Just slightly.

Miami Brings the Heavy Artillery

Duke transfer Darian Mensah takes over after leading the ACC in passing yards and touchdowns last season. He joins Mark Fletcher Jr., who torched Stanford for 106 rushing yards and three touchdowns in Miami’s 42-7 win last year.

Malachi Toney adds another explosive weapon and enters the season with legitimate Heisman buzz.

Defensively, Miami lost Rueben Bain Jr. and Akheem Mesidor to the NFL, but Ahmad Moten Sr., Damon Wilson II, Xavier Lucas and Bryce Fitzgerald keep this unit loaded.

LVSB Predictions

Miami has too much speed, depth and offensive firepower. Stanford might hang around early, but eventually the talent gap should start collecting rent.

Score Prediction: Miami 38, Stanford 13

Spread Pick: Miami -24.5

Total Pick: Over 47.5
