Kevin Durant’s much-anticipated debut at home was canceled due to an ankle injury, and the Phoenix Suns forward is expected to miss the remainder of the month. The team said he will be re-evaluated in three weeks and reports suggest he could be out for the rest of the regular season. Before being sidelined, Durant had a stellar start with the Suns on their road trip, shooting 69 percent (29 of 42) from the field while averaging 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Saturday’s home game against Sacramento will go ahead without Durant as Phoenix battles for a spot in the Western Conference playoffs.
Looking into the injury report, in addition with KD out, the Phoenix Suns will be without Landry Shamet who is expected to be re-evaluated this week with a right foot soreness. As for the Sacramento Kings, they are going into Saturday night’s game with a healthy lineup.
Despite all the trends being in favor of the Suns to cover the ATS, we are liking the Kings for many reasons. Sacramento is good on the road as they hold a record of 18-13, this is also a 2nd place team from the western conference, and what a better way to take the opportunity to make a statement win versus a Suns team they haven’t beat this season, and who are without Kevin Durant in the lineup.
That said, I’m locked in with the Sacramento Kings to cover the spread here at +4 for my free pick of the day.
