Atlanta vs Chicago Preview & Prediction

Spread: Atlanta -8.5

Atlanta Dream: The Revenge Tour Arrives

Angel Reese returns to Chicago for the first time since being traded, which means the storyline writers are having the time of their lives.

Reese has been excellent for Atlanta, averaging 13.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. The former Sky star continues to vacuum up rebounds like she’s getting paid by the board. She already owns one of the most impressive starts to a professional career, piling up double-doubles and filling stat sheets on a nightly basis.

Atlanta has been one of the WNBA’s most complete teams. The Dream lead the league in steals at 9.4 per game and offensive rebounds at 11.4 per contest. Basically, they steal your possessions and then steal them again after a missed shot.

Allisha Gray continues to lead the offense with 19.7 points per game and gives Atlanta another major advantage entering this matchup.

Chicago Sky: Looking for Answers… and Rebounds

The Sky enter this game hoping the basket becomes a little larger than it has looked recently.

Chicago started the season 3-1 before injuries changed everything. Since losing Rickea Jackson for the season, the Sky have gone just 1-6 and have struggled to find consistency on both ends of the floor.

Skylar Diggins is doing everything possible to keep the team competitive, averaging 14.4 points and 4.7 assists per game. Unfortunately, basketball remains a team sport, which is very inconvenient at the moment.

The Sky rank last in rebounding rate and sit near the bottom of the league in three-point shooting at 26.3 percent. When you’re getting out-rebounded and missing threes, life gets difficult quickly.

The injury report isn’t helping either, with DiJonai Carrington and Courtney Vandersloot unavailable.

LVSB Final Score Prediction

This game feels like the basketball version of showing up to your ex’s wedding driving a Ferrari.

Angel Reese returns to Chicago with a stronger team, better record, and a chance to remind everyone exactly what they’re missing.

Atlanta owns advantages in rebounding, defense, depth, momentum, and overall form. Chicago’s recent performances suggest the Sky may spend much of the evening trying to keep this one competitive.

The Dream crash the reunion party, Angel Reese grabs approximately every rebound in the building, and Chicago fans spend the night wondering what could have been.

Final Score: Dream 88, Sky 74
Lean: Atlanta Dream -8.5
