Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview

Everything now comes down to one game for the Cavaliers, and the spotlight immediately shifts toward Donovan Mitchell.

Cleveland Cavaliers looked fully in control after stealing Game 5 on the road, but Friday’s ugly 115-94 collapse reminded everyone this series has become one massive momentum swing after another. Cleveland now heads into one of the loudest arenas in basketball needing a road win just to keep its season alive.

The biggest concern remains Mitchell’s efficiency against Detroit’s aggressive perimeter defense. The All-Star guard has struggled badly at times in this matchup, especially with Ausar Thompson constantly disrupting him physically. Mitchell scored only 18 points in Game 6 while shooting 6-for-20 from the field, and Cleveland’s offense completely stalled whenever Detroit forced him into difficult halfcourt possessions.

Coach Kenny Atkinson knows the solution starts with pace. Cleveland must get Mitchell easier looks in transition before Detroit’s defense can get fully set. When Mitchell attacks downhill early in possessions, the Cavaliers become significantly more dangerous offensively.

The frontcourt matchup also remains critical. Jarrett Allen has generally controlled the games Cleveland has won. Whenever Allen wins the rebounding battle and limits Detroit’s second chances, the Cavaliers look far more comfortable offensively.

Despite the pressure, Cleveland still brings valuable Game 7 experience into Sunday night.

Cavaliers Player Prop Pick: Donovan Mitchell Over 25.5 Points
Mitchell should carry a massive offensive workload knowing Cleveland’s season depends entirely on his scoring output.

Detroit Pistons Betting Preview

The Pistons completely flipped the series momentum Friday night and now return home as favorites with the crowd fully behind them.

Detroit Pistons dominated Cleveland physically in Game 6 while feeding off another electric playoff atmosphere inside Little Caesars Arena. Detroit has been elite at home all season long and now gets another Game 7 opportunity in front of one of the NBA’s loudest crowds.

The centerpiece remains Cade Cunningham, who continues proving he belongs among the league’s elite young stars. Cunningham has consistently controlled tempo throughout this series while creating scoring opportunities both for himself and teammates.

His confidence entering Sunday feels obvious, especially after predicting the crowd would fully insert itself into the game.

Detroit also continues winning the rebounding battle whenever Jalen Duren outplays Allen physically inside. Duren delivered another strong effort Friday and helped Detroit generate key second-chance points throughout the game.

Defensively, Thompson’s pressure against Mitchell has arguably changed the entire series. His length and relentless ball pressure have repeatedly disrupted Cleveland’s offensive flow.

If Detroit controls the glass again and forces another inefficient night from Mitchell, the Pistons become extremely difficult to beat at home.

Pistons Player Prop Pick: Cade Cunningham Over 8.5 Assists
Cunningham continues controlling the offense and should generate plenty of passing opportunities against Cleveland’s defensive rotations.

NBA Final Score & Expert Prediction

Detroit enters Game 7 with all the momentum and home-court confidence.

The Pistons have consistently looked better whenever they control rebounding and force Cleveland into slower halfcourt possessions. Their defense has frustrated Mitchell repeatedly, while Cunningham continues playing with complete composure under pressure.

Expect another physical, defensive playoff battle with momentum swings throughout the second half.
