The Memphis Grizzlies will face a tough challenge when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, as they will be without several key players, including star point guard Ja Morant. Morant is being held out of action while the NBA conducts an investigation into his recent behavior, which included a social media video that appeared to show him holding a gun.
In addition to Morant’s absence, the Grizzlies will also be without Dillon Brooks whose suspended for one game), Brandon Clarke whose out for the season with an Achilles injury, and Steven Adams whose out with a knee injury. Despite these setbacks, the Grizzlies put up a valiant effort against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, mounting a massive third-quarter rally before ultimately falling short in a 135 to 129 defeat.
While it will certainly be challenging for Memphis to compete against a talented Lakers team without so many key players, fans can still look forward to seeing some exciting basketball from this resilient and determined squad. With or without Morant and company, the Grizzlies are always capable of putting up a fight and playing with heart and determination until the final buzzer.
For the Lakers will also be without Lebron James as he recovers from a tendon injury, though they may get their starting point guard DeAngelo Russell as he is set as questionable for tonight’s.
All-in-all, the Lakers are fighting for that 10th spot and considering the injuries, we think the Los Angeles Lakers can cover the spread at -1 here and get the win at home.
